Cambie Village Family Practice is looking for summer locum coverage from July 1st – Sept 1st.
We are a multi-physician clinic with a shared care model between 5 family physicians and 2 physicians that have dermatology focused practices.
We have a delightful patient population including many patients that live in the neighbourhood, consisting of young families, single professionals, and geriatrics. We do not see walk in patients unless they belong to the practice. We are very well supported by 2 excellent MOA staff and an office manager in a warm, friendly and collegial atmosphere between all members of this tight-knit team. The modern clinic space had a brand new rebuild in May 2019.

- Schedule Description Flexible schedule available from 8am-4:30 pm M-F for a combination of in-person visits and telehealth. Current dates with availability below, with the option to increase to full-time if desired (telehealth). We are open to part time coverage as well. July 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, 21, 25, 27 August 8, 9, 11, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30 Sept 1 Patients are booked every 10 minutes for regular consults, 20 minutes for pap smears, 30 minutes for IUD insertions or other procedures as requested by the physician. We close for lunch from 12-1pm.

- Perks We are fully set up for skin procedures including biopsies, excisions, electrocautery and curettage, and cryotherapy via cryogun, offering opportunity for private pay skin lesion removals if desired. We have free parking available underground for staff. Mentoring is available for a new graduate as there will usually be a second physician on site to help if needed.
- Work Environment Join our friendly and welcoming team! We have 5 exam rooms that are shared between the 3 physicians working in office supported by 2 excellent MOAs and 1 Office Manager. We have a private dedicated physicians office for charting and paperwork. Our clinic is newly renovated and modern with spacious and organized exam rooms.

- Community / Neighbourhood We are so fortunate to be located right in the heart of Cambie Village, just 2 blocks from City Square, close to numerous great restaurants, cafes and shops. Some of these include Vijs' across the street, Tropika next door, sushi (Shiro, Tokyo John Sushi, Sushi 7), Thai Away Home, Las Tortas, Flying Wedge Pizza, Starbucks, JJ Bean, just to name a few!)
- Compensation Combined or Other Payment Models
- Estimated Remuneration Our clinic is set up for billing FFS or the new LFP payment model.
- Payment Terms Remuneration is 70-30 for MSP billings and private pay skin procedures; 80-20 for private pay forms, notes and medical legal reports. Payment is twice a month in keeping with the MSP payment calendar.
