Part-Time Family Physician – R-Medy Health and Wellness Centre

R-Medy Health and Wellness Centre is seeking a part-time Family Physician to join our dynamic clinical team. As part of our multi-disciplinary approach to full-service family medicine, the ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a supportive team environment and build their own patient panel in accordance with Ministry guidelines.

About R-Medy: Conveniently located near Vancouver General Hospital in the Fairmont Medical Building, R-Medy is a modern Family Practice featuring four exam rooms and two shared doctors’ offices. Our current team includes two physicians, supported by four highly skilled and dedicated Medical Office Assistants (MOAs).

We are closely partnered with R-MedyMD, a private functional and integrative medicine clinic located within the same building. Physicians with an interest in preventative and integrative medicine will have the opportunity to gain exposure to functional medicine and advanced testing methodologies. For the right candidate interested in providing private medical services, this offers an opportunity to boost earning potential.

Our Patient Population: The clinic serves a diverse patient demographic, primarily middle-aged to elderly individuals, who speak English, Mandarin, or Cantonese. Appointments are pre-booked, with no walk-ins, allowing for a more relaxed and patient-focused environment. Both in-person and virtual appointments are offered.

Clinic Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm
• Saturday: 9am – 5pm

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform routine check-ups, screenings, and immunizations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient outcomes
• Coordinate patient care with specialists as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Accuro (electronic health records)
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• CFPC Certification
• Valid BC medical license
