Full-time or part-time Family Physician

MD Medical Clinic in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia is looking for a full-time or part-time Family
Physician to join their Family Practice/Walk-in clinic. There are currently more than 2400
patients on a waitlist. Hours of work are flexible. The clinic is virtually connected to other
clinics in the Lower Mainland, allowing for vacation coverage when needed.
The clinic uses Oscar EMR,and offers billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-
service or new Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) Payment Model, split arrangement
is 75/25 for the first $300K/year, 80/20 for above 300k/year, 85/15 for above $400k/year
and 90/10 for $500K/year and more. The clinic is offering 85/15 for the first month.
Overhead includes everything such as MOA, EMR, and equipment. Physicians will be
responsible for college registration and liability insurance (CMPA). The range of
potential full-time annual earnings is $400,000-$600,000.
Incentives Available to the Physician:
• Dental/Medical Extended Health Benefit
• 85/15 split for the first month
• $350K income guarantee for full-time physicians
• $36,000 signing bonus for a 3-year full-time contract, $24,000 for a 2-year full-time
contract
Alternatively, if the physician needs a living space, there is a new one-bedroom
apartment available above the clinic which we offer rent free for the first 12 months.
Clinic Details: Brand new, well-designed clinic with 4 large exam rooms ,2 large
separate office rooms for physicians. One family physician currently works at the clinic.
The facility is just a few steps away from nature trails, shopping, restaurants, parks and
schools, and the West Coast Express, a commuter rail service that travels between
downtown Vancouver and the lower mainland. This makes for an easy, bridge-free
commute to Vancouver.
