Locum Needed at Hornby St. Clinic

Dr. Kathryn Atkinson at Seymour Health Centre – Hornby Location

British Columbia’s largest medical clinic has opened a second location in downtown Vancouver. This modern, 31,500 square foot, multidisciplinary primary care centre has 50+ exam rooms with a capacity for 25+ Family Physicians, FPs, and specialists. A family physician at this clinic is seeking a locum from August 15^th, 2022, until September 30^th, 2022. The clinic is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and the current physician works Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30am – 4:00pm, and Friday from 9:00am – 12:00pm, however a locum can work any combination of days, including part time, virtual and in-person care. The physician would have access to two exam rooms, and there are one to two MOAs per FP per shift. The current patient panel is complex and full spectrum, excluding obstetrics and a locum would see an average of 25-30 patients per day. There are no after-hours or on-call requirements.

The clinic has on-site Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging (X-Ray, Ultrasound, ECG), Pharmacy and Sleep Lab facilities. Physicians have full nursing and allied health team support, dedicated Billing Clerks and Medical Office Assistants (MOAs), as well as EMR support by an in-house IT team. The clinic is led by highly regarded and experienced Medical Directors who actively promote a collegial and healthy work environment.
