This community health center is offering a unique opportunity for a locum family physician to join their team! This primary care clinic is looking for a part-time locum FP from February 23rd, 2022 until the end of August, 2022, that would cover two shifts per week from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Locum physicians would have access to one exam room and a separate charting space during their shift, and receive support from a full interdisciplinary team. The community health center is located in the vibrant neighborhood of Mt. Pleasant and there is access to parking and transit. There is an on-call schedule which includes evenings and weekends. The incoming physician would have an opportunity to work within a collegial group of individuals that provide primary care services to residents of Vancouver who are living with complex clinical and psychosocial needs; and are often vulnerable and under-served, and require a higher intensity of services to achieve and maintain functional stability. The physician who accepts this position will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing primary care needs and achieve excellence in client-centered care. This role is responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients who present or are referred for their medical care, and includes providing substance use services, assessments, supports, and opiate agonist treatment, as well as providing trauma-informed care to clients with multiple complex health care needs (i.e. HIV, Hep C, mental health/substance use) and psychosocial complexity.
