Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work in the St. John Hospital Emergency Department in Vanderhoof, British Columbia.
ER shifts can be 24 hours (0800-0800), or 12 hours (2000-0800) with flexibility for 6 – hour blocks during weekdays. You can expect to see 25 patients in a 24-hour shift, 5 of those would be during night shift.
Income Guarantee: $5400.00/24 hr. shift (weekday) or $5700.00/ 24 hr. shift (weekend) – includes FFS, MOCAP, RRP, and REEF.
Locum travel and accommodation will be covered. Travel stipend: $250.00-$1500.00 based on time.
Site has X-ray, lab, ultrasound during the day, and support with local GP anaesthesia and GP surgery. The referral site is in Prince George, 1 hour away.
Visiting specialists to the hospital include general internist, orthopaedics, ENT, plastics, geriatrics, psychiatry, pediatrics, and physiatry.

- Schedule Description Various time frames over the summer are available. Locum dates can be customized to suite your availability. Minimum coverage is typically 2 days. ER shifts are 12 hours (8-8) with flexibility for 6 hr blocks during weekdays. Primary care shifts are also available to compliment ER shifts if interested.
