Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is one of five regional health authorities in British Columbia working in partnership with the Ministry of Health to provide high quality, appropriate and timely health services to British Columbians.
Guided by our core values of we care for everyone, we are always learning and we strive for better results, we deliver community and acute care services to more than 1.25 million people—25 per cent of the province’s population—including First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples living in the region.
We are proud to care for residents living in the communities of Richmond, Vancouver, North Shore, Sea-to-Sky Corridor, Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Bella Bella and Bella Coola located within the traditional territories of the Heiltsuk, Kitasoo-Xai’xais, Lil’wat, Musqueam, N’Quatqua, Nuxalk, Samahquam, shíshálh, Skatin, Squamish, Tla’amin, Tsleil-Waututh, Wuikinuxv, and Xa’xtsa.
VCH also provides specialized, complex care and services for people throughout B.C. and serves as the province’s hub for health care education and research.
